Who can access Qwell?

Qwell is available to adults (18+) living in specific regions where the NHS, Local Authorities, or Charities have commissioned the service. 

Is there a cost to use Qwell?

No, Qwell is a free service for eligible users. 

Do I need a referral to use Qwell?

No, you don't need a referral from a doctor or mental health professional to use Qwell. 

How do I register for Qwell?

Visit the Qwell website and click on ‘Join Qwell’, where you will be asked basic information. 

Is Qwell anonymous?

Yes, Qwell is an anonymous service. You won't be asked for your real name when registering, and your counsellors won't be able to see your identifying information. 

What kind of support does Qwell offer?

Qwell offers a variety of support options, including:  

  • Online chat with qualified counsellors (available during specific hours) 

  • Pre-booked sessions with counsellors 

  • Peer-to-peer support forums moderated by professionals 

  • Self-help tools like mood trackers and goal setting exercises 

What if I need more intensive support than Qwell can offer?

While Qwell can be a valuable resource, it may not be suitable for everyone. If you need more intensive support, the counsellors can offer guidance on accessing other mental health services.
